Emergent Sessions
Mozfest is a unique hybrid: part art, tech and society convening, part maker festival, and the premiere gathering for activists in diverse global movements fighting for a more humane digital world.
Three years ago, Philo van Kemenade and I presented an idea for a community skill sharing exchange at the Science Fair of the Mozilla Festival. Tomorrow, mozfest 2022 is starting and we’re now official partners to stimulate participants innate curiosity and to help them come together around their new ideas.
Though Mozilla Festival is in many ways the premiere gathering for activists in diverse global movements fighting for a more humane digital world and with Gradu.al we’re building digital tools in service of that – it’s never been about the virtual aspect for me.
Seeing other people do good for themselves and for others in an increasingly complex world makes me happy. It warms my heart to see how before the festival has even started people are already coming together to use this worldwide network to find creative ways to aid Ukrainian refugees, offer emotional support to one another or share insights and build strong new relationships in the process.
That said, please feel free to reach out to me if there’s anything I can do for you or if you are interested in joining forces. 🙂
